Host Your Own Retreat or TTC at Yogadhaama

Yogadhaama offers a fully equipped, self-contained ashram ideal for immersive week or month-long residential programs, giving students focused, undisturbed learning in a spiritually rich, natural setting.

Space Built for Practice and Reflection

Yogadhaama is more than a place to stay — it’s a living sanctuary designed for silence, space, and self-discovery.

Yoga Shalas:
Two practice halls — an open-air riverside shala built with bamboo, stone, and dry grass (up to 50 people) and a soundproof enclosed hall (capacity 100). Ideal for morning self-practice, private meditation, or small group sessions.

Gardens & Common Areas:
Wander through flowering gardens and quiet pathways. Sit by the river, on the verandah, or under a tree — perfect for reflection or an unhurried conversation.

Library:
A small but meaningful collection of books on yoga, Vedanta, spirituality, and self-growth awaits you — a quiet refuge for study or contemplation.

Amenities:
Reliable leased-line Wi-Fi, 24/7 hot water, and serene spaces that balance simplicity with comfort.

Rooms: Simple, Elegant, and Nurturing

Our rooms are designed to help you slow down — spacious, minimal, and filled with natural light.

Garden View Rooms:
Six rooms open into lush gardens. Each unit comes with a single bed, a western-style bathroom, and 24-hour hot water.

River View Rooms:
Four rooms are located right beside the Cauvery — perfect for early morning meditation or quiet reflection.

Occupancy:
Choose from single, double, or triple rooms. We accommodate up to 20 guests in double occupancy (expandable to 30 with extra beds).

Food: Nourishment for Body and Soul

At Yogadhaama, food is part of the practice. We believe in the simple truth — “We are what we eat.”

  • Style: Home-cooked, vegetarian sattvic meals made fresh daily.

  • Menu: Balanced North and South Indian meals, lovingly prepared and customizable for vegan or dietary preferences.

  • Sourcing: 40–60% of our produce is organically grown on campus; the rest is locally sourced from nearby farms.

  • Evenings: Enjoy a cup of kashaya or herbal tea — a soothing blend of Ayurvedic herbs and spices that calm and detoxify.

Each meal is a moment of connection — with nature, nourishment, and gratitude.

We Host You Lead

Yogadhaama’s “We Host / You Lead” model lets teachers focus entirely on guiding their retreat while we handle stay, food, facilities, and guest care. Whether it’s a 3-day yoga program, a week-long coaching immersion, or a cultural workshop, our on-ground team manages rooms, meals, and hospitality so everything flows smoothly. We also assist with airport transfers, taxis, and Mysore visits, and offer optional cultural add-ons like Manasa Puja, Bhajans, Sanskrit sessions, coracle rides, and bullock cart tours to bring an authentic Indian flavour to your retreat.

Where Yoga Feels Real

Yoga Dhaama is the perfect spot to relax by the river and gather your thoughts. There are yoga activities and Mysore is a bus ride away. The traditional Indian philosophy behind Yoga Dhaama and the girls’ school is profound – you understand it when you ask.

Kind People, Calm River

They all said they liked the class. You were clear, well-structured, interactive, and they especially enjoyed the chanting. They just need some time to remember the different terms and concepts, which is totally normal. All good – I really enjoyed it too.

Sunrise and Silence

YogaDhaama is a special place, both for its location and the gurukulam for young girls: a great project and wonderful cause. Staff are attentive and nothing is too much trouble. Highly recommended.

India in My Heart

The food in Samana is very clean, delicious, healthy and made with a lot of love. It is hard to resist the food here. If I skip the Asana class, I’m sure to put on some weight. I want to come back to this school again.

Peace for the Heart

Stayed two nights — staff were flexible and kind. Surroundings are peaceful and serene. Moments by the river were spiritually meaningful as we grieved our mother. Food was good. Overall, a lovely stay.

Heartfelt Gratitude & Warmth

The picture of India through the media is different, but after I came to YogaDhaama, my perspective of India has completely changed. Their culture is so rich; the people are so warm, and their hearts are very pure.

Serendipity by the Stream

Finding Apoorva’s place was serendipity. Peaceful room next to a quiet stream. The concept of being next to a girls’ gurukulam teaching Vedic literature fascinated me. Simple, delicious food and a small library. We enjoyed nature and reading by the river. A wonderful experience.
